Camden Street Lower

This project involves modifications to, and the extension of an existing three storey over basement terrace building on Camden Street Lower. The building, currently in use as retail on ground floor and basement and residential on the first, second and return floors as a single four-bedroom apartment. 

The aim of the project is to replace the poorly arranged four-bedroom apartment with inadequate room sizes, no external private space and little storage with two, two bedroom apartments meeting all current standards. A set back roof level extension provides additional living space and a new terrace.

Whilst not a protected structure the proposed alterations and additions have been informed by best conservation practice reinstating where possible the original layout and conserving the remaining original fabric. The proposed roof structure is also clearly legible as a modern intervention.
